Night Craft Issue # 3 - Attack of the Babysitter

Ther third issue of my self-published comic book series, Night Craft, is nearing completion. Attack of the Babysitter was originally written as a children's story ten years ago, and has now been expanded to become a full comic book story. This story is something of a sheep in wolf's clothing as it is much tamer than the babysitter-themed drive-in movies of the 70s would have you believe from the title alone.

My current, and very enjoyable comic book project is illustrating The Karentha Chronicles, written and created by Roger Crooks.

Vengeance of the Space Dinosaur

A finished illustration from a story idea that is my current first choice for the fourth issue of Night Craft. This was done in what has become a standard method for me: work out the composition in a sketchbook, draw it in pencil then ink on bristol board, scan that and color it in Photoshop.

A Cover From 2007...

Before it was the cover for a collection of my drawings titles Spare Parts, this illustration was used as a cover for the small press anthology Rap Sheet. Rap Sheet was put out by the Small Press Syndicate and always featured comics by a diverse group of cartoonists.

Just a little assortment of what's been happening in my sketchbook. I think a lot of these will be turning into larger projects over the coming months.

The Battle for Snowhaven

This was a pretty big project I finished earlier this year. I was commissioned to illustrate a twenty page comic book to promote a series of novels. It was a nice challenge as I like to draw fantasy themed subjects, but rarely write them, so it was not something I was likely to write myself. And it offered an opportunity to do a lot of digital color. The book is currently available and I've posted a link below the pictures.

Three Ink Drawings

Just thought I'd post some drawings I did right off the top of my head. All were ink on 9 x 12 Bristol board. No real theme, I just went with what my imagination suggested. I hope you like them.
